SSO enables authentication via an organization’s Identity Provider (IdP), such as Azure AD, Google Workspace or Okta, as opposed to users or IT admins managing hundreds, if not thousands, of usernames and passwords.

Identity Providers

Our SSO capabilities developed through WorkOS meet the OAuth 2.0 specification, providing an abstraction layer between the authentication handshakes of different IDPs. 

Each SSO Identity Provider requires specific information to create and configure a new Connection. Often, the information required to create a Connection will differ by Identity Provider.
