Server Throughput

The Cerkl Broadcast platform utilizes the services of SendGrid for delivery of emails. All emails will be delivered from the provided Dedicated IP, at a rate of up to 25,000 emails per minute.

Please take into consideration any internal throttling that may be automatically applied. If throttling persists after launch, we are subject to delays in email delivery, sending deferrals, and degradation of your Dedicated IP.

The configuration within Cerkl allows for 5 concurrent requests to send email for a Blast to SendGrid for delivery. Each request is a batch of 500 recipients. The maximum rate of our connection to SendGrid is 8.333 requests per second which could result in as many as 500 requests per minute with each request consisting of a batch of 500 emails resulting in a total of 250,000 individual emails per minute. This represents the theoretical maximum, which with latency and other delays is not reached and we are typically around 10-15% of the maximum, putting Cerkl at approximately 25,000 individual emails per minute.
